Notice: May 2022 Annual Meeting Dear Neighbors, Annual meeting Our annual meeting of the Evergreen Neighborhood Association is tentatively scheduled for May 25, 2022, and will be held at 7:00 pm at a place to be determined. We many need to change the date if we encounter meeting space challenges. Watch your ENA email for updates. The Board is pleased to finally have the opportunity to invite neighbors to an in-person meeting. We are planning on a featured speaker and during the meeting you will hear updates about things affecting our neighborhood as well as our annual election of officers. Please email us if you have areas of concern or creative ideas to enhance our neighborhood and the Board will do their best to respond. Your Board is also very interested in your participation and support of your neighborhood association. We invite you, or someone you would like to nominate, to participate on the ENA Board. Neighborhood Grant The city of Lake Oswego offers neighborhood grants annually. This is a wonderful opportunity to receive funding for neighborhood enhancement. In the past the ENA has received a grant for the sculpture at our neighborhood entrance and another to upgrade our website www.ena-oswego.org. Please email your Board at news@ena-oswego.org if you have any enhancement ideas that a grant might fund. One idea is to find a project to enhance the park at 3rd & Evergreen. Thoughts? The 2022-2023 NEP grant cycle is scheduled to open the week of April 18th. Information on the program and updates can be found by visiting the City’s webpage: https://www.ci.oswego.or.us/planning/neighborhood-enhancement-program-grants LO Police Chief If you have not already heard, Chief Jorgensen has announced his retirement from the Lake Oswego Police Department. The city is actively preparing a position profile and asking for resident feedback. Please email the recruiter, Joel Bryden, at joelb@bobmurrayassoc.com by April 4, 2022 if you have thoughts about what attributes, knowledge, skills and abilities you think the next Lake Oswego Chief of Police needs to have. |
