May 2022 Newsletter and Annual Meeting Announcement
Annual meeting
The annual meeting of the Evergreen Neighborhood Association is scheduled for May 25, 2022, 7:00 pm at Our Lady of the Lake – Parish Hall (lower level of the church building) 790 A Avenue.
The Board is pleased to finally invite neighbors to an in-person meeting. We will have cookies again too! Please bring your own beverage.
Our featured speaker is Lake Oswego Deputy Fire Marshal David Smith who will share some insights about emergency preparedness and disaster planning for our community.
Please email us if you have areas of concern or creative ideas to enhance our neighborhood and the Board will do their best to respond at our meeting.
Board Nominations
During our annual meeting the officers are elected for another year term. There is also the opportunity to invite other neighbors to join the Board. The commitment is small, and the benefits are many. Four one to two hour meetings during the year with the opportunity to be a part of making our neighborhood special.
If you or someone you know would like to participate as a Board member, please contact Diane Grover, ENA Co-Chair who is leading our nomination committee. (dgroverlaw@yahoo.com)
Neighborhood Grant
The city of Lake Oswego offers neighborhood grants annually. This is a wonderful opportunity to receive funding for neighborhood enhancement. In the past the ENA has received a grant for the sculpture at our neighborhood entrance and another to upgrade our website www.ena-oswego.org.
We have communicated with our community about potential requests and received recommendations for enhancing the park at 3rd and Evergreen and purchasing neighborhood emergency supplies as recommended by PrepLO. These ideas will be discussed at our Annual meeting and will need a small committee to pursue any grant request. It is unlikely we can submit for this year, but hope to get a plan for next year.
March meeting minutes
Are now available on the ENA Website.
We look forward to seeing you at the annual meeting. Please email news@ena-oswego.org your plans to participate in the meeting so we can manage attendance.
